I'm going to explain a very big reason why Kids, Teens, and even Adults find it so hard to stop playing video games...

I was talking to a young man, who told me he had dropped out of college to become a professional gamer.

Tell me if this sounds familiar…

Your child is completely OBSESSED with a video game.

It’s all they think about.

It’s all they talk about.

And whatever plans are being made, they must revolve around this game.

The real problem is that they will do just about anything to be able to play this game.

Our child became a bully today… and I’ll tell you how.

Last week our son came running inside crying, hardly able to catch his breath.

The older kids in the neighborhood were mocking him because he couldn’t do any tricks on his bike.

He sobbed until he was out of tears.

We tried to talk to their parents, but that did not go too well.

Kids and teens with anxiety will develop habits or rituals so they can worry less.

There was a boy who wanted to learn how to throw a football.

The father tried several times to teach his son how to throw, but when they went outside to practice, his son would just goof off.

When his dad would throw the ball, his son would fall to the ground, roll around, and pretend he was a dog chewing on a stick. 

When it was his son’s turn to throw, the father would say, “That’s not how you throw a football.”

Every child is going to struggle with something in their life that their parent cannot fix. 
In those moments, they still need their parents to love and support them as they work through their problems.

There are times when you just can't fix your child's problems. At those moments, teach your child how to be brave as they work through their struggle. Your love and acceptance is what gives them the strength to keep trying.
