What we want to tell our children is that they are smart, amazing, awesome, special, one of a kind, and that they can accomplish anything they put their mind to.

However, the reality is that our children are quite imperfect like the rest of the humans on earth, and they too will experience failure, heartbreak, pain, and many other struggles.

To equip our children with the confidence they will need to face life, they need us to teach them a much more real and loving truth. What they most need to hear from us is, “Even on your worst days, when you feel horrible about yourself, and make mistakes, you are always worthy of love.”
